Compassionate Care and Deep Listening

1-Day and 2-Day Workshops

Enlivening, refreshing, and educational, while building key interpersonal skills.

Many people think listening is a basic trait. You have it or you don’t. However, it is a key skill that we can develop in numerous ways. Increasing our capacity to listen can help immensely in both personal and professional relationships. Communication can be a complex dance in which the surface message does not always reflect the underlying meaning. These daylong workshops provide a mix of fundamental information, interactive exercises, and contemplative reflections.

How do we uncover that deeper meaning? How do we show others that we care? How do we increase our own capacity to hold that space for them?

We learn to listen with our entire minds and bodies; we learn to listen to the entirety of others as well. Also, learning to communicate with healthy forms of compassion, joy, equanimity, and other qualities can increase our own sense of sustainability through daily life.

Most Compassionate Care and Deep Listening workshops are held in or near Kyoto, but occasionally maybe be elsewhere.

Meals may be provided. Check specific events for details.
