Based on the Clinical Meditation programming designed by Oshita Daien over 30 years of applying meditation in clinical settings. This is the first program to adapt those practices for English-speaking audiences. It categorizes meditation styles into four types for patient and self care, applying different styles of contemplative care depending on the needs of the situation.
Many people don’t initially think of compassion and listening as skills to be cultivated. But, in fact, exercising these skills can bring incredible benefits to interpersonal relations, whether for work or life in general. The more we can all work on listening and compassion, the more caring a world we can create around us.
There are hundreds of different types of mindfulness that developed in the Buddhist traditions. This series of courses introduce you to not only the background and history of those developments through time, but also how to cultivate those various practices. Being able to learn such practices in traditional sacred spaces only enhances and deepens the experience.
We live in a world with ever increasing disasters and a wide variety of crises – from environmental and societal to life cycle crises. Together, we will learn to be better prepared for crisis, and also how to better care for those going through a crisis situation.
